Our dinner is held every June for our Historical Society Members and guests. We hope to see you there!
The Historical Society has hardbound copies of the Carlisle Mercury from 1914-1992 available for research. Other requests for research of Carlisle and Nicholas County History can be made by special request and appointment by contacting the museum and requesting materials.
The most wonderful time of the year is Christmas at the Museum and the Neal Center! Period decorations fill our space as we deck the halls. Large Angels fly in our windows. Special Christmas music is presented throughout the season. Join us, as we celebrate the holidays, and we hope you stop in!

Nicholas County High School Prom is held annually in the Mozart Hall
Each year all the Churches in Nicholas county come together to cook a meal for the needy and shut-ins in Nicholas County. Working out of the Methodist Church community members bring in turkey’s, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and deserts they have made a home to serve in the dining hall or deliver to those without transportation. Another example of why Carlisle is called “The Little town with the Big Heart.”
